Both Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik) were smiling from ear to ear during last week's episode of "The Big Bang Theory" season 9 called "The Earworm Reverberation," and it's no surprise why - after a difficult breakup, the two have finally reunited and reclaimed their love for one another.
In a blog post for Grok Nation, Bialik wrote about that special episode, saying how sincerely delighted she is that they are back to filming "playful" episodes as to ones filled with "iciness and disagreements."
"I've heard from a lot lot lot of people that they didn't like Amy and Sheldon broken up and you know what? I didn't like it either!" she said. "I love any scenes at all that I have with Jim Parsons, but for sure I can say that I prefer doing scenes where Amy and Sheldon aren't broken up versus scenes where they are broken up."
According to Bialik, Sheldon and Amy's reunion came as a surprise to her, but she happily welcomed that development nonetheless.
Bialik noted that "The Earworm Reverberation" is a big episode for Sheldon and Amy, but the following episode where they will have their first love scene is going to be even bigger.
"But there's a lot more to our relationship than that. Always has been, always will be," she added.
Bialik cannot say as well if Amy's annoyance with Sheldon will be put to a stop, but she feels very hopeful for their future.
"Being a part of 'The Big Bang Theory' is an endless fountain of blessings - as an actor, as a comedienne, and as a lover of celebrating the human experience in all of its comedy and tragedy," she said.
The actress cannot help but gush as well about Amy would-be boyfriend Dave played by Stephen Merchant. Dave would have been a good match for Amy, if not for his enthusiasm for her ex-boyfriend. Even though things did not work out between Dave and Amy when Sheldon swooped in to profess his love, Bialik still feels happy that she got to film several scenes with him.
"Stephen Merchant IS as awesome as he seems," she shared. "He's very lovely and very shy and perfectly methodical as an actor. He's wicked smart as a person and as a writer of comedy. He understands things on a very special level. I loved working with him and was honored to do so for three episodes."
