People have often associated Troian Bellisario as Spencer Hastings in the television series "Pretty Little Liars," but for die-hard "Suits" fans, she will always be Claire, the first girl Mike Ross ever tried to impress.
However, their relationship was doomed from the start, since Claire was a serious law student and career woman, while Mike was heading nowhere, having dropped out of law school because of his friend.
According to TV Fanatic, Claire's return is going to spell big trouble for Mike since she is privy to his law school secret.
"It's definitely not a good thing, especially for Mike, and then also for Rachel. But when we now find Claire she's gone through a huge change in her life. When we first saw her she was working immigration law and she's working her way up the ranks and now we see she's getting a lot of power quickly," Bellisario said. "It's also Mike's first case as a partner and I'm the one he's paired up against so he cannot meet with me because I'm the one person outside of his circle of trust that knows his secret."
Bellisario believes that both Mike and Rachel have to be on their toes since Claire is "always on her A-game." Claire is a very smart girl and she does not always lay all her cards out on the table, leaving her opponents grasping for straws once she's done talking to them.
"She's one of those people that you realize that she knows a lot more than she's saying kind of midway through the scene she'll drop a bomb that she's been aware of the entire time," she said about her character.
The transition from "Pretty Little Liars" to "Suits" felt fantastic to Bellisario, who is engaged to Patrick J. Adams (Mike Ross) in real life. She loves working with Adams and she also has nothing but kind words for Meghan Markle, who plays Mike's fiancé in the series.
"Meghan is wonderful," she gushed, adding that being a part of "Suits" was just "so much fun."
The actress first met Adams on a play they were working on together, and the real life couple has been eager to return to that dynamic, and "Suits" opened up that platform for them.
"Whenever we get to return to that, it's such a wonderful and creative place for me to grow because I feel like there's such permission whenever I'm working with him. He's got a really good barometer and he'll let me know definitely when something is or isn't working," she said.
