Donald Trump, having defeated Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, pledged on Wednesday to “help our country heal.” Unofficial results indicate that he garnered 277 electoral votes, surpassing the 270 needed to win the presidency.

In a victory speech, Trump characterized his campaign as “the greatest political movement of all time.” He emphasized that “there’s never been anything like this in this country,” and he was optimistic that the movement would reach “a new level of importance because we’re going to help our country heal.”

He acknowledged the urgent needs of the nation, stating, “We have a country that needs help, and it needs help very badly. We’re going to fix our borders. We’re going to fix everything about our country.”

Trump expressed gratitude for being elected as both the 45th and 47th president, and he promised to fight for all citizens, their families, and their futures.

He also declared, “Every single day I will be fighting for you, and with every breath in my body I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe, and prosperous America that our children deserve and that you deserve. This will truly be the golden age of America.”

Trump labeled the results of the 2024 election as “a magnificent victory for the American people that will allow us to Make America Great Again.” He expressed appreciation for states that contributed to his win, particularly North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

Criticizing the mainstream media, Trump asserted, “This will forever be remembered as the day the American people regained control of their country.”

He defines his political party as being based on a “common core of common sense,” emphasizing his desire for secure borders, safety, and quality education.

Addressing the assassination attempt on his life earlier this year, he shared that “many people have told me that God spared my life for a reason,” and he identified that reason as being to “save our country and to restore America to greatness.”

“We are going to fulfill that mission together. The task before us will not be easy, but I will bring every ounce of energy, spirit, and fight that I have in my soul to the job that you’ve entrusted to me,” he stated.

Trump emphasized his wish to move past the divisions of the last four years and promote unity, expressing confidence that success will bring people together and lead to a future for America that is more prosperous and stronger than ever before, concluding his victory speech.
