Less than a week after it was announced, the new HTC One M9 flagship may have just received a tentative price tag for the US market.
Earlier this week, the Taiwanese manufacturer finally unveiled its newest flagship, the HTC One M9, and it sure fits the bill of what a 'flagship' device looks like. In a report by GSM Arena, alleged pricing details have been revealed for the US.
In the report, the new One M9 will cost $599 as described in a promotion titled HTC One (M9) Sweepstakes. The promo gives US citizens who are 18 years old and above the chance to win the Android flagship.
However, the $599 may be too cheap considering how the One M9 is priced in Germany in its pre-order status. In a report earlier this week, the high-end HTC smartphone costs €750, though buyers would get the device later this month.
Meanwhile, other retailers in the UK will begin offering the device via pre-order on March 9. Some retailers that provide the offer include EE, Carphone Warehouse, O2 and Three.
For those who missed the HTC One M9's unveiling at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the device boasts a 5-inch IPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 3GB of RAM and a 32GB built-in memory with a microSD card slot.
The decision to retain the 1080p screen could be HTC's way to prolong battery life. Fortunately, the device is powered by the latest 64-bit Snapdragon 810 chipset that has eight cores.
Other specs include a 20.7MP primary camera which is the best shooter HTC has ever placed in any of its phones, a 4MP front shooter, dual BoomSound speakers, and the usual premium-looking aluminum body.
The device runs on Sense 7.0 and Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
Readers who are interested to join the HTC One M9 Sweepstakes, just head over to the company's official website and register. Registrations will end on March 24, 2015 at 11:59 pm PT.
