"The Walking Dead' star Alanna Masterson is set to be a mother as the 27-year-old actress recently made it known that she is expecting her first child with photographer boyfriend Brick Stowell.
Announcing the big news on Monday, July 27, Masterson took to social media and posted a photo of herself in a white dress and sandals, and, of course, her growing baby belly on Instagram with the caption: "Guess what... @brickstowell"
Stowell also shared his own photo to announce his partner's pregnancy, posting an image in which the actress is seen showing off her bare baby bump. Stowell captioned the black and white snapshot with "Baby Season."
With Masterson's pregnancy, certain questions have been raised by "The Walking Dead' fans as to how her character, Tara, will end up on the hit AMC zombie drama.
Speculations have already been claiming that Tara could be killed off in order for the actress to focus on her pregnancy.
Although this could be a possibility, co-star Sonequa Martin-Green, who portrays Sasha on the series, had been pregnant with her first child when season five was being filmed, hence the chance that the series might conceal Masterson's baby bump when shooting scenes for new episodes.
While Masterson previously said that she is worried as to how Tara might be the next character to be killed off, she has long accepted the ways with which the series works.
"That's the nature of the show," Masterson said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly of the show's sudden character deaths. "It's interesting because if you look at Emily (Beth) or Chad (Tyreese) or Tyler (Noah) and people that have gone this season -- it's done nothing but be great for them."
"People have become so attached and it's all they can think of and all they can remember so I eventually know I'm going to go on the show," she shared. "I think eventually everyone is going to go on the show. So I just try to enjoy every episode. But, yeah, it's kind of nerve-wracking."
With the zombie drama series having a long way to go, creator Robert Kirkman has also assured fans that he already has an ending in mind when the hit blockbuster show comes to a conclusion.
"It's a very popular show, and [the executives at AMC] seem to want it to go for 50 seasons. And it may go for 50 seasons, but there is definitely an end point at some point," Kirkman told Marc Maron during a visit to the comedian's WTF podcast.
With a 90-minute premiere episode, "The Walking Dead' is set to return for its sixth season on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
