Norman Reedus and Emily Kinney, who met on the AMC's "The Walking Dead' were reported to have been seeing each other, Us Weekly claims after sources exclusively revealed details for its new issue.
"They had a connection early on in the show," a source close to the pair claims, "but the romance developed recently. They're still pretty guarded about it."
Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon on the zombie thriller series, shared several special moments with Kinney, who portrayed kind-hearted Beth Greene. After spending quality time with each other onscreen despite the presence of gruesome walkers, sources claim that "the romance developed recently."
Even fans shared numerous posts on Tumblr, expressing their excitement for the "Walking Dead' stars.
"NORMILY IS REAL YOU GUYS," one user wrote.
However, E! Online has confirmed through Reedus' rep that the 46-year-old actor is not dating Kinney. The actress and musician, who is currently on tour, has not made any comment.
Their characters, Daryl and Beth, developed a special bond during the fourth season of "The Walking Dead.' It consequently sparked rumors as well as loads of fan fiction that Beth would finally become the bow-wielding hunter's first love interest.
Unfortunately, the hopes for such post-apocalyptic romance, such as that of Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Beth's sister Maggie (Lauren Cohan), were immediately refuted after Beth was kidnapped and, later on, killed in the fifth season.
Kinney revealed that, after exiting the hit series, Reedus stayed in touch with her through texts. The duo is expected to make appearances at upcoming fan conventions, such as the Walker Stalker Con event on June 27 and 28 in Orlando, Florida.
"He was one of the first to support her at her concerts when she was still on the show," the source claims about Reedus attending his costar's music gigs.
Recently, the actor cheered on Kinney at one of her shows in Decatur, Georgia. According to an eyewitness, several "Walking Dead' fans saw Reedus in the audience.
"For some time everyone wanted two of the most beloved Walking Dead characters to be together, but of course, Beth was killed off," the observer says.
While Reedus and the rest of the cast are in Atlanta filming the sixth season of the post-apocalyptic thriller, Kinney remains on tour and travels with a keepsake from her days spent with the "Walking Dead' team.
"I'm not as much of a collector as everyone else," the 29-year-old actress said. "(But) I have this turtle shell Norman gave me that I take everywhere."
Although there have been few details about "The Walking Dead' season six, it has begun adding to its cast as "Straight Outta Compton' actor Corey Hawkins has signed on to play a major comic book character.
In a sneak peek released by The Hollywood Reporter, Hawkins will be taking on a recurring role and will be introduced as Heath, a key member of the Alexandria Safe Zone, in the sixth season.
