AMC has officially unveiled the key art for the forthcoming sixth season of "The Walking Dead' and announced that the Comic-Con panel for the widely acclaimed series will take place on July 10, Friday, at 12:00 p.m. PDT in Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center.
To appear on banner ads in the actual convention from July 8-12, the "Walking Dead' official banner features stars Andrew Lincoln as Rick, Danai Gurira as Michonne, Chandler Riggs as Carl, Melissa McBride as Carol, Sonequa Martin-Green as Sasha, Lauren Cohan as Maggie, Steven Yeun as Glenn, Norman Reedus as Daryl, Michael Cudlitz as Abraham, Josh McDermitt as Eugene, Alanna Masterson as Tara, Christian Serratos as Rosita and Lennie James as Morgan.
It will also include the actors who signed on as newcomers in the fifth season, including Seth Gilliam as Father Gabriel, Tovah Feldshuh as Deanna, Ross Marquand as Aaron, Alexandra Breckenridge as Jesse, and Austin Nichols as Spencer.
Meanwhile, AMC's hit zombie apocalypse series has begun adding to its cast for the sixth season and the first actor to be confirmed is "Straight Outta Compton' star Corey Hawkins, who has signed on for a major comic book character.
Hawkins is set to portray a recurring role and will make his debut as Heath, a key member of the Alexandria Safe Zone, in season six.
His character is expected to become good friends with Glenn as well as a love interest to Denise. Known as a supply runner for the safe zone, Heath first appeared in the #69 issue of Robert Kirkman's comic book series.
Heath arrives in the series following the arrival of Rick and his group of survivors in Alexandria at the end of the fifth season. If the comics are to be followed, such community will be the longest-running community for these characters.
During "The Walking Dead' season five's finale, Morgan (Lennie James) was shown making his way to Alexandria just in time to have a glimpse of his friend Rick (Lincoln) killing off Pete (Corey Brill) after the latter inadvertently killed Reg (Steve Coulter), husband of Alexandria leader Deanna (Feldshuh).
"The Walking Dead' has been set to make a comeback for its sixth season in October; a premiere date will be announced at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.
Moreover, fans can also look forward to AMC's upcoming companion series "Fear the Walking Dead' as production has already begun in Vancouver and teaser trailers have been released.
