As Warner Bros. continues to move ahead with its Wonder Woman movie, production is set to begin in November and casting rumors have been gracing the headlines.
Two major villains will reportedly be featured in the film, including Eva Green as the Sorceress Circe and Sean Bean as Ares, the God of War.
However, while Warner Bros. is interested in both Green and Bean, the actors have not yet signed on to the film and it remains uncertain whether they have really been in negotiations with the studio.
Green has already risen to popularity as she took on memorable roles in both film and TV. Looking into her role in "300: Rise of An Empire,' the actress may find a similar character in Circe, the sorceress who is capable of controlling magic and using it to her advantage, such as transforming herself into someone strong enough to fight Wonder Woman. Her character is also known to be a seductress who can magically attract men.
As for Bean playing Ares, the actor has already been known for portraying characters in fictional settings, including Boromir in "Lord of the Rings' and Ned Stark in "Game of Thrones.' His supposed character in "Wonder Woman' is a god who is fascinated in eternal war. Aphrodite then creates the Amazon race, which makes Ares the main nemesis of Wonder Woman.
Both Circe and Ares are likely to be included in the upcoming film as Wonder Woman's first archenemies are based on Greek mythological characters. Although there have been scarce information about the plot, the movie will reportedly shed light on an origin story, hence the possibility of Circe and Ares fitting into the tale.
Meanwhile, Gal Gadot will make her debut as Wonder Woman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', although the film's official trailer does not necessarily explain why Diana Prince is a key character in the brawl between the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight.
A single quick shot of the female superhero was included as she slammed her wrist guards together and created an enormous shockwave. It has then been speculated that Wonder Woman will be taking the side of Bruce Wayne.
Based on the source material, these bracelets be used to disorient the Man of Steel during a fight, thus the question whether Batman himself called on Wonder Woman to help him in confronting Superman.
While the "Wonder Woman' premiere date is yet to be announced, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' is set to hit theaters on Mar. 25, 2016.
