NBA 2K15 had several intriguing updates and gamers are thrilled with the new additions in one of the most popular video games for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
NBA 2K spokesperson Ronnie Singh promised "something big" to gamers earlier this week, and a recent update from NBA 2K revealed that he was talking about Yao Ming.
Yao, who played eight seasons for the Houston Rockets, became the latest addition to the 50/50 and Legendary MyTEAM packs, with Ronnie 2K calling the addition as the "biggest" NBA 2K15 update to date.
Based on a Twitter post from NickTheBullsFan 2K15, the 7-foot-6 center will be a huge boost to any team with his overall rating of 92, including an 88 midrange-shot and 94 close-shot ratings. The MyTEAM update came after 2K Sports also sent out locker codes for Pink Diamond Melo in the same game mode.
Aside from MyTEAM updates, 2K Sports also updated the roster on Thursday, featuring rating changes for players, who have been turning heads in the league.
Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside, who recently expressed hope that his 2K rating will improve, now has an overall rating of 78 after getting +7 in defensive rebounds and +5 in box out.
New York Knicks point guard Langston Galloway also got a huge boost - from 69 overall rating to 73. Below are the other notable changes as reported by Operation Sports.

On Friday, a new update was also released for download, featuring the 2015 All-Star teams. Both Western and Eastern Conference rosters were updated after the league announced the All-Star reserves on Thursday.
Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins, who replaced injured Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant, was not yet included in the All-Star roster update, but is expected to hit the Western Conference team after Saturday's update.
