Amid the hype on upcoming Xbox Live Games with Gold, Xbox One Backwards Compatibility lists and the recent announcement of the Xbox One Cross Play feature, one retailer in Australia called "Big W" committed the gaffe of bundling "Uncharted 4" to the Xbox One 1TB Bundle.
According to Attack of the Fanboy, Big W featured a new Xbox One Bundle with Tom Clancy's "The Division" and "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection."
Of course, gamers know that "Uncharted" is a PS4-exclusive game. Originally, the Xbox One 1TB Bundle should include "The Division" and "Jurassic World" on Blu-ray. As posted on the Big W website, the supposed Xbox One 1TB bundle is priced at $478.
"The Division" has recently 1.2 million users making it the biggest new game franchise according to to the PCGamer. In just five days since "The Division" was released, Ubisoft estimated a total of 330 million in sales. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot released a statement praising the team who worked on the game.
"The Division taking the top spot in the industry for first-week sales of a new franchise is a tremendous achievement. We are very proud of our teams, and humbled by and thankful for the millions of players who are giving us their feedback and support," Guillemot said in a statement.
While the mistake may have brought confusion and possibly interest to some gamers, Attack of the Fanboy, this shouldn't be something to be excited about, as Uncharted will never be part of Xbox One, primarily because of its exclusive contract to Sony. Neither Microsoft or Sony commented on the mistake, but fans know better.
Meanwhile, Sony has released a statement about the new Xbox One Cross Play feature.
"PlayStation has been supporting cross-platform play between PC on several software titles starting with Final Fantasy 11 on PS2 and PC back in 2002. We would be happy to have the conversation with any publishers or developers who are interested in cross platform play," Sony said in a statement.
