Although the season finale for "The Flash' will only be aired next week, "Arrow' has already wrapped up its third season this week with the episode titled "My Name Is Oliver Queen.'
The third season concludes with a fight with Ra's al Ghul and the League of Assassins as well as a scene in which Oliver decides to retire from being Arrow and turn his back on his crime-avenging deeds as he drives off with Felicity into the sunset.
While Oliver finally proclaims that he is one happy individual, it remains a big question among fans as to whether there will be changes in his character in the fourth season. As there have been no announcements from the show's producers, actor Stephen Amell recently stepped up to confirm one certain thing in the new season of "Arrow.'
"Arrow is done. No more Arrow suit. I've worn it for the last time," the actor said in an interview during the CW's Upfront presentation.
With the season's ending being met with mixed reaction from fans, Amell shared that they had looked forward to a mixed response, admitting that he has no idea as to how the series will continue in the fourth season.
"I was anticipating that there would be some happiness mixed with angst because coming out of each season I've known where our path was going. I have no idea what's happening in Season Four."
Furthermore, Amell also shared at the Wizard World Comic-Con in Philadelphia that his character might undergo a transformation from being reserved and mysterious to the more light-hearted Green Arrow that is portrayed in the comics.
While such idea merely comes from Amell, Arrow might eventually be known as the real Green Arrow. Despite unknown circumstances in the fourth season, Queen does realize that he would be recognized as the Green Arrow sometime in the future.
The news that the Arrow character may be done for now will not be surprising for many fans; however, mentioning how the green leather suit will not be worn anymore poses several major questions. After all, it was the hood that greatly associated the Arrow to comic book inspiration Green Arrow.
While waiting for announcements on "Arrow' season four, DC fans can still look forward to Amell joining another series based on the comic books as the actor appears with a bow in his hand in the latest trailer for "Legends of Tomorrow.'
