British actor Benedict Cumberbatch is now literally too good to eat.
The famed Sherlock and The Imitation Game actor has just been transformed into a life-sized chocolate sculpture called "The Chocobatch", according to The Telegraph.
It took around 800 people to work on the 40 kg. (around 88 lbs.) of chocolate and transform it into a hollow sculpture of Cumberbatch. It also took 500 bars of melted Belgian chocolate and 250 hours to complete the piece of edible art.
Cumberbatch was chosen as the chocolate model after 2,000 people were asked who they consider as "Britain's Dishiest Dramatic Actor." Cumberbatch bested fellow television actors such as Doctor Who's David Tennant, Game of Throne's Sean Bean, and Homeland's Damian Lewis.
Tim Simpson, the chocolate sculptor said that the most challenging part about Cumberbatch's figure was his head. "The striking thing about Benedict is he's got quite a thin face, but quite a large head, so trying to get that look right is quite tricky," he said.
So in order to achieve this, the chocolate team poured molten chocolate into a food-safe mold to create individual sections of his body, which they later assembled together.
Simpson even joked that the life-sized chocolate Cumberbatch will be a huge treat to women fans. "I've got a feeling that some women are going to take a look at him and decide that he's delicious in more than one way," Simpson said.
Cumberbatch has been acting since 2001 but rose to fame after portraying the lead role in the British television series Sherlock. His first appearance on the big screen was in the 2003 film To Kill a King, and he also appeared in 2007's Atonement with James McAvoy and Keira Knightley. He also appeared in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and War Horse in 2011, Amazing Grace in 2006, Star Trek: Into Darkness in 2013, 12 Years a Slave and The Fifth Estate in 2013, and The Imitation Game in 2014.
He also lent his voice as Smaug and the Necromancer in The Hobbit series.
Throughout his career, Cumberbatch received several awards and nominations, including two Laurence Olivier Award nominations. He won a Best Actor award for playing Frankenstein. He also received three Primetime Emmy Award nominations, and he won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie for his role as Sherlock.
Moreover, he received an Academy Award nomination for his role as Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, and the actor was also nominated for two Golden Globe awards.
