'The Big Bang Theory' Season 8 Spoilers & Update: Cast Say Goodbye To Carol Ann Susi; Series To Go On Break?

The Big Bang Theory

The excitement brought by another quirky episode of The Big Bang Theory will have to tide fans over until February 19 as the show appears to be taking another short hiatus following the airing of The Troll Manifestation, according to Design & Trends.

Unfortunately, this will not be the last break the show plans to take this year as a report from Cartermatt.com revealed that another hiatus is scheduled in March. In addition, the spoiler website disclosed that the month of April will see another break for the much-loved series. Despite this news, the show's producers and writers assured fans that the next episode will be worth the wait.

Spoilers earlier revealed that the upcoming episode, which is titled "The Comic Books Store Regeneration," will give fans and followers of the show some of most memorable heartbreaking moments. Apart from focusing on the re-opening of the comic books store, which has been known as a frequent hang out place of the lead characters, the show will be a poignant and heartbreaking tribute to the late Carol Ann Susi.

Susi was the voice behind Mrs. Deborah "Debbie" Wollowitz, Howard's mother. She passed away in November 11 last year following a tumultuous battle with cancer. The show will break the news of her death through a phone conversation between Howard and some of his relatives in Florida.

He will be informed that his mother passed away in her sleep, which will subsequently show the effect of her loss not only to Howard but also to the entire cast. When the public became aware of the death of Susi, the direction of her character's growth unsurprisingly became an issue for many fans and followers.

Despite the pressing need to respond to these queries, Executive Producer Steve Molaro, one of the writers of the popular sitcom, explained in an earlier interview that everyone involved was still in the grieving process at that point. "The death of Carol will be dealt with," he shared. "We just needed time to process the loss of our friend," Molaro remarked.

Meanwhile, Molaro openly declared that the future of the characters remain a mystery even to the writers themselves. "Everyone is moving forward in some way, but even we don't know exactly where they're headed until it happens," he shared in an interview with E! Online.

Nathan Fillion, who is currently the lead actor in the crime comedy series Castle and a cast member of the now-defunct show Firefly, will be featured as a guest in the next episode as well.
