Survivors of Sewol Ferry Disaster Return to School

On Wednesday morning, the 75 survivors of the Sewol ferry disaster returned to Danwon High School in Ansan. The students were greeted by a large throng of parents of those who did not survive the incident, embracing them and crying with them as they entered.

Despite some who might have encouraged them to forget the traumatic incident, the students returned to school determined to always remember what had happened on April 16. Some have expressed that it is their way of honoring the lives that have been taken away.

Many were seen wearing "Remember 0416" bracelets on their wrists as a symbol of their remembrance.

As the students returning to school are in remembrance of their friends, even those in America are sharing this memory with them.
