Typhoon Rammasun is approaching Hainan and Guangdong provinces in China after having caused at least 38 deaths in the Philippines, now in an even more intensified state.

The China Meteorological Administration categorized Typhoon Rammasun as a super typhoon, which are known to have winds of 150 mph or even higher, according to a CNN report.

In order to prepare for potential damages from the typhoon, the area has been halting certain forms of transportation. A Chinese news agency says that shipping, some flights, and trains have been suspended. However, officials are still uncertain as to how much caution they need to take, as the typhoon has gained intensity rapidly, going from a category one to a category four or five in the last few days, according to CNN.

10 people were injured and 8 more remain missing in the Philippines in the aftermath of Typhoon Rammasun. More than 7,000 homes were destroyed.

The typhoon is also predicted to hit Vietnam late Friday or Saturday.
