Retailer GameStop is offering a new discount deal that will let customers purchase a brand new Xbox One console for as low as $100.
The new offer is part of the retailer's trade-in program that awards customers with store credit in exchange for their gaming consoles.
In GameStop's latest program, customers can receive a maximum store credit of $250. Since the retailer is offering its Xbox One consoles for $350, using this credit will lower the gaming system's value to only $100, according to Gamespot.
However, in order to receive the maximum store credit, customers must trade in their PlayStation 4 with 500GB of storage or the 500GB version of the Xbox One. Both must be in good working condition and still have their complete set of cables.
GameStop will still accept defective consoles in exchange for lower trade values.
Aside from these consoles, customers can also bring in other gaming systems in exchange for store credit. These include the Wii U 32GB system, the Nintendo 3DS XL with Stylus, the 500GB PlayStation 3, and the 500GB Xbox 360 (E).
The Wii U and Nintendo 3DS XL, both in good conditions, can be traded in for $100 each. Those who bring in a PlayStation 3 console will be awarded with $70 of store credit. The Xbox 360, on the other hand, has a trade value of $60.
As noted by GameStop, items that will be traded in by customers will first be examined by its staff members.
GameStop's latest trade-in program will run until November 15. Aside from brand new consoles, customers can also use their store credit to purchase other products such as mobile devices and video game titles offered by the retailer.
The retailer, however, did not specifically mention which branches are participating in the deal. So, customers are strongly advised to call up their local GameStop stores first to check if they are accepting trade-ins before heading out.
As for GameStop's other offers, the retailer is now accepting reservations for the upcoming "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" game. Customers who pre-ordered the title can pick it up at a nearby GameStop branch once it officially debuts on November 6.
In addition, the retailer is also giving away a free Xbox One controller for every purchase of a new Xbox One console. This offer is valid until November 8 and only applies to purchases made through the company's online and physical stores.
